Up until Scott and Wendy Bannerot wrote "The Cruiser's Handbook of Fishing" there has not been much information available on the whole fishing while cruising gig and with this book they certainly filled the gap.Fishing while cruising is a whole different world than sports-fishing (though not without it's sport) and it is good to have a book that so well covers all the various aspects of the craft. If it has to do with fishing and you need to know, it is most likely covered in this book.
My one quibble is I'd like to see a bit more about the processing and preserving of one's catch as for most of us dealing with a hundred pound tuna and limited fridge space on a sailboat is more a daunting problem than the actual catching of the fish... Maybe an area they will cover more deeply in their next book?
This book certainly belongs on every sailing fisherman's bookshelf.

I'm the book reviewer for Living Aboard magazine and reviewed this terrific book a while back, though it had a different cover then. I agree wholeheartedly that it really should be on the book shelf of any serious cruiser who likes the occasional fish dinner.
