An evolutionary step above fishing with clubs
After the Fish are Gone from Prime Collective on Vimeo.
Hi Bob. What's going to happen? Jellyfish. Toxic algae blooms and jellyfish. Anoxic oceans and jellyfish. Quite soon. Now unavoidable. For millions of years to come until such an ecosystem reaches some tipping point and another evolves: jellyfish, algae, toxic, acidic - and probably very stable at that as it was once before for half a billion years or so before any fishes, shellfishes, crustaceans, diatoms even. Damn.Listen to Lisa-ann Gershwin, enjoy the little time left before the fish are gone: http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/scienceshow/the-rise-of-slime3a-jellyfish-and-algae-thrive-in-new-oceanic-/4838478
